Sharon lives in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, Canada.
Sharon is an established scratchboard artist, specializing in birds, wildlife and pet commissions. The detail is what drives her to create the most photo-realistic paintings possible. All Sharon's paintings are based on her own photos, with the exception of some commissions.
In Sharon's paintings, she only uses coloured ink formulated for scratchboard. Looking closely at her work, you can see the depth she can achieve with her layering technique. Each painting has upwards of 25 layers of colour washes and scratching. A painting must have visible scratching to be classed as "Scratchboard Art."
